The Pre A1 Starters exam, formerly known as Cambridge English: Starters (YLE Starters), is one of the official Cambridge English Qualifications for young learners. It marks the beginning of a child’s language learning journey and helps them build confidence in using English from an early age.

The Pre A1 Starters exam is the first of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed specifically for children. These exams introduce learners to everyday spoken and written English and are an excellent way to develop foundational English skills.

The test content is based on familiar topics and focuses on the core skills needed to communicate effectively in English: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
