1. Choose a date for your Young Learners (YLE) session. The Young Learner (YLE) tests are on-demand and you can choose the date that best suits your centre's needs.

YLE rules and regulations
If you would like your students to take the Cambridge English: Young Learners (YLE) tests at their own school or academy it is essential that you comply with the following basic guidelines:

Paper based tests
Exam room requirements:
Individual tables/desks which must face in the same direction.
Each candidate must be seated no less than 1.25m away from other candidates in all directions.
A reliable, good quality sound system for the listening test.
A black/whiteboard.
A wall clock.
There should be no books, papers or materials under/in the tables/desks.
All posters/materials with English on them must be removed from the walls.
Exam day staff:
Your centre must provide a supervisor who should be available for the duration of the exam session.
Your staff must ensure that there is silence outside the exam room while the test is in progress.
Secure storage:
Prior to the exam session the exam materials must be locked unopened in a solid metal cabinet or secure store-room.
The store room must have a solid locked door and limited access. If there is a window it should have bars or there should be a burglar alarm installed.

Computer based Young Learners
The Young Learner Computer Based test is exactly the same as the Paper version the only difference being that instead of writing or drawing on paper the child does this on a computer or tablet. The Speaking Test may be taken face-to-face or online. Please choose which version of the Speaking Test you prefer for your students and tell us when you make your entries. For the online Speaking Test candidates wear headphones with a microphone and all their responses are recorded and later corrected by a Cambridge English Speaking Test Examiner. The face-to-face Speaking Test may be programmed before or after the written components. The online Speaking test takes place between the Listening and Reading & Writing components.

If you would like to find out about the specifications for CB Young Learners please contact us on email info@exams-madrid.com or tel. 914 184 796.

Exam sessions in your city
Many schools and candidates are unable to access Cambridge English exams because they are too far away from the nearest exam centre.

In line with Cambridge English policy in Spain, Our centre has created a project that will bring the exams closer to the candidates in the Comunidad de Madrid by enabling them to take an exam in their own town.

What does the project involve?
Exams Madrid can organise an exam session in any town, village or city throughout the Comunidad de Madrid for the following exams:

What do we need to provide?
A minimum of 25 candidates per level
A venue for the exam session/s. This must comply with the Cambridge English exam regulations and will typically be a school, civic centre or college
A support person who must be available for the duration of the exam session
Secure storage to store exam materials for 3 - 5 days. Secure storage facilities must have limited access

Transport for Cambridge English examiners to and from the closest station if they do not have a car

What do we do next?
If you fulfill the above requirements and are interested in receiving further information on how to organise exams in your town please contact us on Tel: 914 184 796 or email info@exams-madrid.com

Exam locations
Exams Madrid organises exam sessions in most towns and cities in the Comunidad de Madrid. We also organise bespoke exam sessions in schools and institutions throughout Madrid and the Balearic Isles.

On this page you can check the exam dates in our exam calendar and to and get information on exam entry fees and registrations.

All of our exam venues are in central locations and easily accessible by public transport. Candidates will receive confirmation of the location of their exam prior to the exam date along with additional detailed information for their session.

Suitability of venues
All the venues used by our centre to deliver exam sessions are required to fully comply with the exam day regulations set out by Cambridge Assessment English. The following aspects are checked thoroughly by our team before choosing to use a venue for an exam session: distance between candidates, lighting, noise level, sound quality, etc.
In addition, venues are chosen subject to the number of candidates registered, exam type, level and specific requirements for each session. When choosing a venue, our centre tries to cater for the different geographical needs of candidates as well as their preferred exam locations, ease of access and popularity.

Important: Some of our exam venues are available for you to view on this page. They are for information purposes only and are subject to change. In order to guarantee quality and to comply with Cambridge English exam regulations, venues will be finalised once final candidate numbers are confirmed.
