Once the exam fees have been settled the candidate will receive confirmation that he/she is registered to take the exam. If you do not receive confirmation of your exam registration within 3 working days, please phone us on tel.: 911 041 761. You should also check that our email has not been sent to your junk/spam mail folder.

Proof of registration and payment

Your place on the exam will not be confirmed until we receive the completed registration form and the payment, which must be made before the final entry date.

IMPORTANT

You must send us the payment receipt by email to the centre so that we may trace your payment with the bank. Candidates who fail to submit both of the above documents will not be considered registered for the exam.

Late registrations

A late entry fee will be applied to candidates registering after the final entry date. The centre reserves the right to accept late registrations subject to availability and time limitations. Late entries will not be processed unless the late registration fee has been paid.

Exam date changes

Candidates may change the date of their exam as long as they do so on or before the entry deadline date published on our exam calendar. In order to do this, they must send an email to the centre requesting the date change and stating the new chosen date.

Once the entry deadline date has passed candidates may not change the date of their exam. However, if a candidate is unable to sit an exam due to illness or a serious family incidence, he/she may request a to take the test on another date. In order to do this the candidate must inform the centre via email within one week of the date of the missed exam indicating the new chosen exam date. The candidate will be required to produce a medical certificate or, in the case of a serious family incidence, a relevant document and make payment of the current administration fee that can be found here.

Emails to the centre must be sent to the following address: registrations@exams-madrid.com.

Cancellations

If a candidate is not present on the day/s of the exam the exam fee will not be returned nor will the candidate be able to transfer the examination to another date. If a candidate cancels his/her exam registration on or before the final entry date the exam fee will be returned to the candidate minus the current administration fee.

Exam fees will not be returned in the case of cancellations made after the final entry date. However, if a candidate is unable to sit an exam due to illness or a serious family incidence, he/she may request a refund of the exam entry fee. In order to do this the candidate will be required to produce a medical certificate or, in the case of a serious family incidence, a relevant document. In this case the exam fee will be returned to the candidate minus the current administration fee. The centre shall not consider valid any motives for cancellation other than the ones specified above and therefore shall not refund exam entry fees.

All cancellations, regardless of whether they are eligible for a fee refund, should be notified in writing by email to the following address: registrations@exams-madrid.com.

Cancellation of exam sessions

The centre reserves the right to cancel an examination session if said session does not meet the Cambridge English minimum requirements for the delivery of the session, for example an insufficient number of registered candidates.

In the event of cancellation, the centre will contact all registered candidates in advance to offer an alternative date, examination location or a full refund of the examination fee. The centre does not accept responsibility for any other expense, contracted service or alleged damages, such as transport tickets, accommodation, etc.

Digital exams

Candidates may opt to take the Computer Based exam on the dates offered by Cambridge English for this test version. Candidates taking the Computer Based version of the exam are subject to the centre and Cambridge English regulations and conditions for this specific version of the test. The exam centre is obliged to provide fully compliant technical and administrative infrastructures for the day of the exam in compliance with the Cambridge English technical and administrative specifications.

In the event of technical issues that affect all or part of a Computer Based exam session, the centre will work closely with Cambridge English to investigate the causes and to offer candidates an appropriate solution for each case.
